One Degree - Creating a cool change for Fiji

Calculate Your Emissions

Numbers add up when it comes to global warming, and in nearly everything we do, there is also way that we can reduce our carbon dioxide emissions.

Using this calculator, you will get a better picture of what your your carbon footprint is and what or how many changes you need to  make.

By spending just 10 minutes to enter details about your home, travel and lifestyle habits you will be able to calculate how much carbon you produce and identify ways to cut your emissions.

The calculator will show you what impact different energy saving initiatives will have, and offer you an opportunity to offset what you can’t eliminate – it’s up to you.

The One Degree calculator is based on the Greenhouse Gas Protocol – an international guide for calculating carbon emissions.

To complete this calculator as accurately as possible, you should have your household electricity bills handy but if you already know roughly how much you spend on your energy then you can calculate an approximation.  Before starting the calculator make a quick reference to the guide below to determine an how many kilometres you travel a year, per family member. It is advisable to also list down how many national and international trips you take a year by air, again per family member, this will help you save time for yourself when calculating your emissions.

Understanding how much we affect the environment and what we can do to improve on that is an important way to start making One Degree of difference.
